WEEK 2:
January 12, 2009: So this is a long one! This is the day we go to the Chicago History Museum to see their exhibit on couture. Surprisingly, you are the one that suggested it, letting me know that you have a thing for fashion (cute)! We walk around until we come to the large empty room at the back of the building. You pull me to a corner where we share a little makeout session. We continue our obnoxious bahavior on one of the window ledges looking over the place you came to smoke in high school. You also find out how trusting (gullable) I am when I believe that there are Lincoln Park ostriches! Awesome.
We finish up the museum and decide to take a walk in the park (luckily, it's not too cold this day) I get to see where you chipped a piece of a statue with your skateboard and you write S+B in the snow with a big heart around it (insert: awww) We continue our stroll down a long sidewalk as you recite Shakespeare's Sonnet 18. We uncover these same words on a memorial placed in the park for a friend of yours. I'll never forget that at each rock, you kissed me.
At this point, we have some time to kill before dinner, so we head over to Urban Outfitters. You buy me a new black hat and try to convince me to try on some underwear (too bad only one person at a time is allowed in the dressing room) We continue to a nearby bar only to discover that we have it all to ourselves. We both play music on the jukebox and you get me to shoot some deer! In a videogame of course. You later whisper that you are crazy about me in my ear. At this point, I figure we are done drinking because the liquid courage has stepped in!
Now, it's off to dinner! We eat at Mon Ami Gabi. A really great dinner. We share the booth seat and you treat me to my first tasting of escargot (mmm...delicious) We share great wine, food, conversation, and long looks into each other's eyes. You later tell me that this was the most romantic dinner you've ever had. My feelings are completely mutual.
January 14, 2009: This night you come over because I am off work the following day and already, we are missing each other. You bring the first season of David Lynch's "Twin Peaks" We only get through one episode, but I am already hooked (Lynch is crazy) We then go to bed and yada, yada, yada...I'm really tired the next day! But seriously, I end our day short because I have dinner with Lucy but I remember being so sore!
January 16, 2009: The night you meet my friends and pass the test! And basically, it was good for you from the get-go because you are Jewish. Poor Stephanie, she is desperately searching for a Jewish boy, and a fantastic one just falls into my lap (oh the irony). We meet at People where you totally impress Elle with your chivalry. Stephanie grills you about everything. From your job status to your favorite color, but you have a great answer for all. We continue the night at McGee's where we meet up with one of your friends. You impress Elle again (and me) when you say that we should go enjoy ourselves and dance. This is not something we're used to a guy saying. The three of us girls act a fool and I get to show you a few of my dance moves. You try to push your friend on Stephanie as being Jewish, but she sees through it. We get to dance a bit and then we share a cab back with Elle. I bluntly tell her I'm staying at your place. When we get there, you surprise me with a card and present. I'm totally caught off guard, but am pleasantly surprised to find a set of toothbrushes. One for you and one for me! Now I won't have to cover my mouth everytime we wake up next to each other. I brush my teeth with the new brush and you can imagine how the night ended (wink wink).
January 17, 2009: This night we decide to spend apart (at least for a few hours) I go out with coworkers and get pretty drunk. This of course, leads to a drunk text to you asking if you want to come over and snuggle. With no hesitation, you agree. If you had only known that this decision would lead to one of the most memorable days we share together!
January 18. 2009: THE SUNDAY OF SEX
As anyone could figure out, the name says it all. However, I'll go into some detail. We wake up...have sex for a while. Decide that we are hungry, so we order thai food. I get scared that Elle is coming home and we're naked on the couch, so we both run in my room to get dressed. Only to find out that it's the food! What a false alarm. We enjoy our food as we play monopoly on your phone. You get to meet Josh for the first time and compare him to the balding guy in High Fidelity (hilarious). We snuggle up in front of the TV and watch Towelhead. In hindsight, what a weird movie to be watching in the middle of sex sunday, but oh well. We finish the movie and continue the sex marathon. We do it on the couch for quite a while. I come very close to finishing and then we take it to the bedroom. More sex ensues...I just can't get enough of it and I assume you felt the same way. Once you leave late that night, I realize that I haven't gotten out of my pajamas the entire day. Just sex, food, sex, movies, and sex. Needless to say, I made it to your number one spot this day.
